Internship overview
This spring, I worked with Fantasy: a design agency that helps industries solve unique problems to redesign the mobile navigation menu of Salesforce.com.
My role
As a UI Design Intern at the company, I crafted and drove my own internship experience. I wanted to learn as much as I can in a design consultancy space, so I made sure to take part in various workshops, shadowed senior designers outside of my project, and reached out for advice from people outside of my role and outside of my team.
My impact
01
Simplified the architecture to reach a page on a mobile navigation menu
I reduced the number of steps to reach a specific page on Salesforce as well as simplified the navigation design to ensure users are able to seamlessly flow through the mobile without any friction.
02
Worked within and added to the design system
With my designs, I was able to expand and streamline the team's design system for Salesforce.
Learnings
I learned various team structures for different clients
Joining three different projects, I learned what it was like to be a part of three different teams. I saw how these teams operated at a high level for clients and the way people moved within the teams.

🤹🏻

I learned how to balance client and user needs at an agency
At an agency, we worked with clients and the unique problems they were facing. I learned how it's like to balance both client and user needs within a project and the importance of advocating for users.
